ABOUT ME
Born into a Samoan family with a musical background, I transitioned from a decade in music to filmmaking, earning awards like the 'Best Music Video' at the Sony Film Festival. Now a Digital Content Producer at Queensland Reds, I merge my storytelling skills with sports, crafting diverse digital content across platforms.
recent sport campaigns
I coordinated and produced promotional videos for the new Queensland Reds training jersey campaigns. These videos were adapted for multiple platforms, including game day big screens. I managed player coordination, lighting, costumes, extras/dancers, music, and oversaw the entire filming and editing process.
Capturing Cultural Roots:
Authentic Portrayal of Queensland Players in Traditional Attire
For this project, I aimed to connect Queensland players to their cultural roots by showcasing them in their traditional attire within a tight 7.5-minute filming window per player. Collaborating closely with the Brisbane Polynesian community ensured authentic representation, emphasizing respect for each culture while building trust with the players to fulfill the project's vision.
Uniting Queensland's Pacific Islander Community:
Celebrating Culture and Collaboration
Aiming to unite Queensland's Pacific Islander community in 2024, the project engaged the younger generation while showcasing support for the Queensland Reds. Emphasising cultural diversity and unity, I collaborated closely with the Polynesian community, gratefully welcomed into their homes for filming, marking a deep privilege to serve and collaborate with my community.
social media reels
I produce reels on demand, staying updated with online trends to reach a wider audience. I've collaborated with various rugby teams, from Super Rugby to international 7s, aiming to capture key moments and deliver timely, high-quality edits. This boosts engagement on platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
sideline to office
As part of my daily work on the sidelines with the Queensland Reds, I capture training moments, perform color grading on the footage, and ensure swift posting on various social media platforms with a quick turnaround

A Personal Journey Captured Through Music and Film

Verbal Abuse 2.0
Deceptikonz Feat. R.E.S & SWIDT
The Deceptikonz, New Zealand's Double Platinum-winning artists, reconnected with the Red Eye Society to collaborate on a sequel to 'Verbal Abuse.' I had the privilege of serving as the cinematographer for this project filmed at Six Digree Studio Brisbane.
One Time
Deceptikonz
In this project, I served as the cinematographer. 'One Time' is a tribute song dedicated to loved ones who have passed away. It honors those who played pivotal roles in our lives by instilling values that we hold dear. Additionally, this song features the children of all members of the Deceptikonz artists.
What Are They Saying
Mareko x Ricky Paul
This is one of my solo projects where I filmed and edited this music video with the intention of incorporating an element of unpredictability. The concept aims to highlight Mareko's diverse roles, showcasing him not only as a hip-hop artist but also as a barbecue cook and a father of three.
MY STYLE
I've blended my Samoan roots in music and sports, especially rugby and rugby league, with my passion for film and videography. My style merges urban and hip-hop vibes with the sports world. While I can adapt to corporate needs, this fusion defines my unique style. I aim to infuse storytelling into sports and look forward to more opportunities to do so in the future.
